Two Riders Qualify for Nationals at Intercollegiate Horse Show Association Zone Finals

Northampton, MA: Martha Maloney Huss '09 (Wilmington, DE) and alumna Elizabeth Jacobson (New Fairfield, CT) both qualified for Nationals with their performances at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association Zone Finals this afternoon at Mount Holyoke College.

In qualifying for the Zone Finals all four Smith Riders--Vivian Chen '09 (Ningbo, China), Kristyn Hall '09 (New Town, OH), Jacobson, and Maloney-Huss--were honored as all-New England riders.

Chen finished 8th in walk-trot, while Hall placed 6th in novice over fences. Jacobson qualified for Nationals with her 2nd place finish in alumnae flat, while Maloney-Huss took first in novice over fences.

Maloney Huss and Jacobson will compete in Nationals April 23-26 at Middle Tennessee State University.
