Equestrians Martha MaloneyHuss, Kristyn Hall, Vivian Chen and Elizabeth Jacobson Qualify for Zone Championships

Northampton, MA: Kristyn Hall (New Town, OH), Martha MaloneyHuss (Wilmington, DE), Vivian Chen (Ningbo, China) and alumnae Elizabeth Jacobson were champion and reserve champion in their respective classes at the Regional Championships today and earned a trip to the Zone Championships to be held at Mount Holyoke College on April 4th.

Hall, a senior engineering major, won her class in novice over fences to earn Regional champion honors while MaloneyHuss (novice over fences), Chen (walk, trot) and Jacobson (alumnae flat) each were Reserve Champion in their classes.  Other riders for Smith who placed but will not advance were Hall in novice flat (5th place); Christine Stine (East Dover, VT) 3rd in intermediate fences and intermediate flat; Morgan Brescia (Seekonk, MA) 3rd in novice fences and 4th in novice flat and Kathryn Mishkin (Old Chatham, NY) 5th in intermediate flat.
