Cross Country Finishes Fourth at NEWMAC Championships

Boston, MA: The Pioneers finished 4th today at the NEWMAC Championships with 103 points. MIT won the championship with 27 points followed by Wheaton (77), Springfield (87), Smith (103), Wellesley (105), WPI (175), Coast Guard (180), Mount Holyoke (197), Babson (275) and Clark (280).

Smith's top racer was Nora Youngs (Penacook, NH) who finished 4th overall, completing the 5K course with a time of 18:54.32. Youngs was named to the All-Conference team. Finishing 20th was first year Kristin Peck (Bethelhem, NY) who finished with a time of 19:58.21 followed by Christine Dzialo (Belchertown, MA) in 39th place (20:38.16), Uli Botzojorns (Bolton, VT) came in 40th (20:38.58) and Sari Field (Nutley, NJ) finished in 54th place in 21:22.57.
