Track Athletes Compete at ECAC Championship

Northampton, MA: Four track and field athletes competed at the 2008 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships held at Springfield College and combined for 35th place out of 51 institutions.

Junior Claire Edwards (Klamath Falls, OR) was 29th in the 100m in a time of 13.18 and 20th in the long jump (4.97m); sophomore Jasmine Liverpool (Brooklyn, NY) finished one place ahead of Edwards in the long jump, 19th, with a leap of 4.99m; and sophomore Etta Grover-Silva (Arcata, CA) was third in the pole vault with a height of 3.57m. All three women along with first year Uzuri Sims (San Diego, CA) combined for the 4x100m relay and finished 28th in 52.15.  This meet concludes the season for everyone except Grover-Silva who will compete on May 22 in the pole vault at the 2008 NCAA Division III National Championships to be held at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
