Track & Field Places 25th at New England III Championships

Northampton, MA: Track & field individuals combined for a 25th place finish at the New England III Championships held today at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.

In the track events, junior Claire Edwards (Klamath Falls, OR) finished 12th in the 200m (26.74) and while Alina Ainyette (South Orange, NJ) placed 19th in the 400m dash (1:02.63).  In the field events, Edwards was 11th in the long jump with a distance of 4.91m; Etta Grover-Silva (Arcata, CA) finished 5th in the pole vault with a height of 3.10m;  Jasmine Liverpool (Brooklyn, NY) placed 16th in the long jump (9.98m) and Shakwana Etienne (West Orange, NJ) finished 9th in the shot put with a throw of 10.64m.
