Track & Field Places 8th at Reggie Poyau Invitational
Northampton, MA: Sophomore Etta Grover-Silva (Arcata, CA) won the pole vault event this afternoon with a vault of 3.43 meters. To date, she has qualified for the New England III's, ECAC and Open New England Championships and is provisonally qualified for the NCAA National Championship in that event. She also finshed 8th in the 55m (8.07).
Other team scoring performances were given by junior Claire Edwards (Klamath Falls, OR) who finished fourth in the 55m (7.75, New England III's qualifying time), 5th in the long jump (4.64m) and 7th in the 200m (28.51). Senior Alison Cloutier (East Hampton, CT) finished 5th in the 5000m (19.40:65), junior Jenna Christie (Groton, CT) 8th in the long jump (4.37,) and first year Catherine McGuinness (Fairfax, VT) 6th in the 20# weight (8.70m).
