Tennis Takes 3-6 Loss from Holy Cross

Northampton, MA: Smith lost 3-6 in a hard fought match versus Holy Cross in Northampton, MA this afternoon. With the loss the Pioneers fall to 7-13 on the season, while Holy Cross improves to 7-7 on the year in dual matches.

Diana Fiumefreddo '11 (Winchester, VA) and Miyu Kikuchi '10 (Tokyo, Japan) won a tight match, 8-6,  at number one doubles. Catherine Hill-Lydecker '08 (Conway, NH) took a 2-0 (6-3, 6-0) victory over Hailee Lange of Holy Cross at number three singles, while at number six singles, Nikki Anderson '11 (Sherborn, MA) defeated Holy Cross's Paige Brown 2-0 (7-5, 6-3).
