Squash Falls to Wesleyan at Howe Cup

Northampton, MA: In day one of Howe Cup competition on Friday, the Pioneers fell to Wesleyan 8-1. Highlights of the match included Sara Smyth's (Brooklyn, NY) 9-6, 9-3,9-4 defeat of Gwynne Hunter. The victory was Smyth's first against Hunter in five matches played this season. The other close match of the day was Kate Whitesell's loss to Casey Simchick, 9-6, 7-9, 9-7,7-9, 7-9 where she lost 3-2 in the fifth. Smith will face Franklin & Marshall today at 4:30 pm.
