Smith Soccer Ties Skidmore in Double Overtime
Northampton, MA: The Pioneers tied a hard fought game with Skidmore 0-0 in double overtime. The tie puts Smith's record at 0-3-1 while Skidmore now stands at 3-1-2 on the season.
Despite being outshot 30-4, Smith's defense held strong and was able to shutout Skidmore College over 110:00 minutes. Junior goalkeeper Marlowe Dieckmann (Oakland, CA) made 13 saves for Smith, while Skidmore goalie Liza Mills (Setauket, NY) finished with 3 saves.
The Pioneers return to action Wednesday, when they will host Wesleyan College for a 4:30 contest.
