Munsey Qualifies for USCSA National Championships

Northampton, MA: Sophomore Kara Munsey (Burnt Hllls, NY) qualified for the U.S. Collegiate Ski & Snowboard Association (USCSA) National Championships with her performance this past weekend at Eastern Regionals held at Waterville Valley, New Hampshire.

Munsey, who led the Pioneers all season, placed 12th among 69 racers in the giant slalom on Sunday. She finished her first run in 1:05.89 and improved the time of her second run to 1:04.34 for a combined time of 2:10.23. She was 8th in Saturday's slalom and finished 11th in the combined alpine. Munsey will compete in the USCSA National Championships the first week of March at Sunday River Ski Resort in Maine.
