Ski Team Races to Fourth and Sixth at Plymouth State Carnival

Northampton, MA: Smith had four skiers finish in the top twenty-five in the slalom event at the Plymouth State Carnival held at Waterville Valley, NH on Saturday to give the Pioneers a fourth place team finish, their best of the season.

Sophomore Kara Munsey (Burnt Hills, NY) raced to 12th place, her best finish of the year, followed by Lindsey MacNabb (Vernon, British Columbia) in 15th, Mikaela Larson (Providence, UT) 18th and Katharine von Herrmann (Piedmont, CA), 21st.

Munsey again gave the best performance for Smith on Sunday in the GS with a 6th place finish. MacNabb placed 17th, von Herrmann 26th, Larson 32nd and Ellie Baker (Norridgewock, ME) 53rd to give the Pioneers a 6th place team finish.

The Pioneers will race this coming weekend at Loon and Pat's Peak, NH.
