Smith Field Hockey Falls to Bryn Mawr at Seven Sisters Classic

Northampton, MA: In a closely contested game, the Pioneers lost to Bryn Mawr 1-0 in double overtime.

In a hard fought game, Smith's offense was able to get off 27 shots on goal, but were unable to find the back of the net. Despite a terrific defensive performance as well, they were defeated on a Bryn Mawr goal in the second overtime period.

Courtney Murphy (Florence, MA) started in goal for the Pioneers making 1 save. Margaret Winter (Purchase, NY) played the second half and both overtimes in the net for Smith, making 4 saves on the day, while taking the loss.

Smith is back in action Sunday at 2 pm as they take on Vassar College in day two of the Seven Sisters Classic.
