Equestrians Finish Third at Mount Holyoke Show

South Hadley, MA: Junior Kathryn Mishkin (Old Chatham, NY) brought home High Point Intermediate Over Fences Rider honors and qualified for Regionals today at the Mount Holyoke Show. The Pioneers finished third out of twelve teams with 32 points. UMASS was the High Point College with 40 points while host Mount Holyoke was Reserve High Point College with 38 points.

The team combined for 21 ribbons, twelve in the top four.  Blue ribbons were won by Abigail Cooper (Chalfont, PA) in open over fences, Marguerite Davenport (Mill Valley, CA) in novice over fences, Morgan Brescia (Seekonk, MA) on novice flat and Susanna Haas (South Acworth, NH) in walk, trot, canter. Mishkin won a red ribbon in over fences and a white ribbon in intermediate flat while Martha MaloneyHuss (Wilmington, DE) and Christine Stine (East Dover, VT) brought home red ribbons respectively in novice over fences and intermediate flat.  Barrett Phillips (Goochland, VA) and Anya Bahros (Norwell, MA) each took third place while fourth place ribbons were won by Jill Medinger (Newtown, CT), Davenport and Kimberly Meskimen (Medina, MN).

The Pioneers will host its show on Saturday, March 8 at 8:30 am.
