Smith Basketball Falls to Connecticut College 55-42

Northampton, MA: Although the Pioneers found themselves down only 2 points at halftime the Camels of Connecticut College were able to defeat Smith 55-42 this afternoon in New London, CT. With the loss Smith drops to 1-4 on the season, while Connecticut improves to 5-1 overall.

Laura Miller '11 (Minneapolis, MN) led Smith with a double double shooting 5-6 tallying 10 points and 10 rebounds on the game.  Lisa Marie Vuono '10 (Lyndhurst, NJ) finished with 11 points and incredible 6 steals.  Courtny Parker '09 (Ocean City, MD) was able to pull down 10 rebounds as well.   

Emily Cummings '10 (Yorktown, Heights, NY) of Connecticut College led all scorers with 16 points.  Kristen Frazer '10 (Pelham, NY) added 14 points, while teammate Katy Serafin '08 (Carmel, NY) finished with 10 points for the Camels. 

Smith will be back in action Tuesday, December 4th at 6 pm as they host Gordon College.
