College of Wooster 6-12
West Palm Beach, FL: Smith Lacrosse fell to 1-3 yesterday afternoon with a 6-12 loss to non-conference opponent College of Wooster (Ohio) in West Palm Beach, FL. Finding the net for Smith in this game were first year Liz Mehr (Charlotte, ME), sophomore Ashley Bauer (Bradford, NH), junior Susie Parke-Sutherland (Columbia, MO), senior Brea Stump (Bath, ME). Senior Anna Lee Harris (Saxtons River, VT) scored twice and controlled 7 ground balls while senior Betsy Nickle (Wilmington, DE) grabbed five of the teams 21 ground balls. Sophomore netminder Sara Smith (Brooklyn, NY) made 16 saves in 60 minutes of play with a dozen goals against in the affair. The Pioneers return home to open New England Women’s & Men’s Athletic Conference play on Sunday, March 26th at 1pm against Wheaton College. |
