CT: The Pioneers of Smith picked up their second win of the
season yesterday as they defeated St. Joseph's College 18-4 improving
their record to 2-5 overall.
Smith took a 9-3 advantage into the half behind the scoring of first year Blair Rapalyea (Prides Crossing,MA) and senior Anna Lee Harris (Saxtons River, VT) who combined for five goals. Raplayea led all scorers with a game high seven goals followed by sophomore Lesley Aldrich (Vero Beach, FL) with three. Goalkeeper Sara Smith (Brooklyn, NY) registered her second win of the season allowing three goals while stopping six shots. Junior Sara Sosa (Sarasota, FL) also saw action in goal allowing one goal while making six saves.
