Springfield Lacrosse Defeats Smith 18-4

Springfield, MA: The Pioneers fell to 3-8 overall and 0-4 in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference competition last night as the Pride of Springfield defeated Smith 18-4.

     Sara Smyth (Brooklyn, NY), Susie Parke-Sutherland (Columbia, MO), Lesley Aldrich (Vero Beach, FL) and Elizabeth Mehr (Charlotte, ME) each scored a goal for the Pioneers in the loss while Sara Smith (Brooklyn, NY) made 19 saves in goal.

     Junior attacker and NEWMAC Player of the Week, Rachel Lampros (Boxborough, MA) scored a game high five goals for the Pride. With the win, Springfield improves to 6-4 overall and 4-0 in NEWMAC play.
