Smith Crew Rows Alongside Familiar Foes at
New England Rowing Championships

Worcester, MA: The Pioneers traveled to familiar Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester to row against the regions top schools at the 2006 New England Rowing Championships ending an overall successful day in 3rd behind first place Williams and runner-up Trinity.

With five boats advancing into their respective Grand Finals, Smith came away with two fourth place times in the 1st Varsity Eight and 3rd Varsity Eight, one 5th place boat in the 1st Novice Eight, the Second Varisty Eight in 4th place and a silver medal boat in the 2nd Novice Eight. After all was said and done, the Pioneers took home the Women’s 3rd place points trophy and will be back out on the water at next weekend’s ECAC Invitational Championship in Worcester.
