Smith Tennis Falls to Bates 9-0

Northampton, MA:  The Pioneers took on Bates College in Lewiston, Maine this afternoon and fell 9-0 to the Bobcats.  Juniors Seiko Fujii (Aichi, Japan) and Vida Chen (San Jose, CA) took their matches to tiebreakers but couldn’t pull out the wins for Smith. Bates improved to 3-2 in spring dual match play while the Pioneers fell to 0-2.
