                    Tracksters Place at URI Invitational

 Northampton, MA:  In their second indoor meet of the season, the Pioneers had some outstanding individual results at the non-team-scoring University of Rhode Island Invitational on Friday.

           Senior McKane Sharff (Arlington, MA)^th finished third in the 55m dash in a time of 7.50, 7th in the 200m (27.22) and 7^th in the long jump (14’8 ½”) while classmate Shayla Livingston (Sharon, VT) took 6^th in the 55m hurdles (9.29).  First year Jasmine Liverpool (Brooklyn, NY) placed 5^th in the triple jump (31’ 3 ¾”), 9^th in the long jump (14’4 ½”) and 14^th in the 500m (1:28.59). Other top ten performances were given by Alison Cloutier (East Hampton, CT) who finished 9^th in the 1 mile run in a time of 6.00.89 and Alina Ainyette (South Orange, NJ) who placed 10^th in the 400m dash (1:08.61).
