Tennis Drops 2-7 Decision to Skidmore
Northampton, MA: The
Pioneers fell to the visiting Thoroughbreds 2-7 in today’s indoor
match-up. This was Smith’s first match of the spring season.
The Pioneers got their two victories of the day from doubles’
play. Junior Catherine Lydecker
(Conway, NH) and senior Kate
Johnson (Auburn, KS) defeated Kate Hugo and Dani Fancher 9-7 in
the number one spot. Junior Seiko
Fujii (Aichi, Japan) and first year Miyu Kikuchi (Tokyo, Japan) put away
Kyra Travis and Laura Atley 8-4 in the number two spot.
The Pioneers are back in action again next Saturday, March 10th as they
travel to Bates College for a 3 pm match.
