Squash Finishes 28th at Howe Cup

Northampton, MA:  The Pioneers finished 28th in the country today at Howe Cup women's national college team championships at Yale University.  Smith lost its last match to George Washington University, 8-1, on Sunday.  Although the Pioneers won one fewer match than the last time the teams faced each other, four of Smith's matches went to 4 games, with close scores and only a few points separating Smith from the second seed in the Epps Division.

Talia Williams (Montpelier, VT), who won all her matches at the Howe Cup, defeated Cheslea Mouta in five games yesterday to tally Smith's only win.
