               Swimming & Diving at NEWMAC Championship
                              (through 13 events)

Northampton, MA: The Pioneers remain in tenth place after two days of competition at the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) swimming & diving championship.

     In yesterday's events, the Pioneers' 200 medley relay team comprised of Erika Bridges (La Crescenta, CA), Liz Hughes (Barneveld, NY), Faith Latella (Douglastown, NY) and Francesca Kotey (Gainesville, FL) finished 14th; Bridges took 16th in 100 backstroke and the 800 freestyle relay team, Rachel Dorset (Stratford, CT), Latella, Abigail Carr (New York, NY) and Marly Pineda (Bosque Farms, NH) finished 9th.

     The last and final day of competition will conclude with the finals of 1650 free, 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, 200 fly, 400 free relay and 3-meter diving beginning tonight at 6:30 pm.
