              Lacrosse Falls at Wellesley 19-7

Northampton, MA:  The Blue of Wellesley College rattled off eight straight of their team's twelve first half goals while holding Smith to two to cruise past the Pioneers 19-7 in today's New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) contest at Wellesley.

Haley Geller (Berkeley, CA) scored four of her game high five goals in the first half to lead Wellesley while classmate Colette Whitaker (Great Falls, VA) picked up a hat trick before sophomore Emily Riff (Wayzata, MN) tallied back-to-back goals to put Smith on the board.

Wellesley's assault contined in the second half as they scored four more before sophomore Sara Smyth (Brooklyn, NY) made the score 16-3.  The Blue answered with two more when Rebecca Capute (Easton, MD) picked up her first of two.  Smyth and Riff each scored once more for the Pioneers.

Kristin Jaronczyk registered the win for Wellesley making seven saves and allowing just seven goals in sixty minutes of action while Sara Smith (Brooklyn, NY) took the loss for the Pioneers making 11 saves.
