 Kotey Selected To Attend NCAA National Leadership Conference

Northampton, MA:  Smith sophomore Francesca Kotey (Gainesville, FL) has been selected by the NCAA to participate in the NCAA National Leadership Conference to be held at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida  from May 27 through May 31. Kotey, a member of Smith’s swimming & diving team, will be among the 330 individuals selected for this year’s conference.

             The NCAA National Leadership Conference provides NCAA student-athletes with a forum to openly discuss issues that my affect them on their campuses and in their communities, while also providing them with the opportunity to enhance their leadership, communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills.  The leadership conference also promotes better communication among student-athletes, coaches, administrators, faculty and communities. The conference is an outreach of the successful CHAMPS/Life Skills Program and involves student-athletes each year who compete in fall, winter and spring sports in Divisions I, II, and III.
