 Smith Tracksters Score at New England III Championships

Northampton, MA:  Senior McKane Sharff (Arlington, MA) and first year Etta Grover Silva (Arcata, CA) set two new school records today at the New England III Track & Field Championships at the University of Southern Maine.

             Sharff won the 55m dash in 7.25 setting a new Smith mark while Grover-Silva finished fourth in the pole vault with a jump of 11’ feet to break Smith’s record. Sharff also took fourth in the 200m (26.65) and was the lead-off leg of the 4x200m relay team that finished seventh in a time of 1:51.60. Caitlin Ritchie (Meriden, CT), Grover-Silva and Shayla Livingston (Sharon, VT) comprised the other three legs of the relay team.

             Livingston also took 6^th in the 55h (8.89) and 9^th in the 400m (1:02.09) for Smith and was the last leg of the 4x400m relay team that finished 8^th (4:15.25). Other members of the 4x400 relay were Hailey Bird (Salt Lake City, UT), Jasmine Liverpool (Brooklyn, NY) and Alina Ainyette (South Orange, NJ)
