Smith Tennis Falls to MIT

Northampton, MA:  The Pioneers opened their fall season with an 8-1 loss to New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) opponent MIT today in Northampton.  Senior Kate Johnson (Auburn, KS) was the only victor for Smith at number four singles defeating Joanna Mackay 6-2, 6-4.  The Pioneers will be in action again on Wednesday when they host independent Tufts University at 4 p.m.
