November 28, 2006 Smith took an early 10-2 lead in the opening minutes but the Bantams chipped it away to tie it up at 14 and again at 16 with 6:30 remaining. Sophomore guard Rosie Baldwin (South Strafford, VT) converted the only three-pointer of the game to put the Pioneers up three followed by a basket by first year Lisa Marie Vuono (Lyndhurst, NJ) that gave Smith a 21-16 lead. Both teams struggled in the last 5 ½ minutes of play scoring just four points with the Pioneers taking a 23-18 lead into the half. Trinity
came out strong in the second half outscoring the home team 13-2 in the first
five minutes and took the lead for good (36-35)
with 8:16 remaining on a hoop by senior guard Sarah Cox (Norwell, MA) who led all scorers with a game high 17
points. Classmate Catherine Maher ( The
Pioneers were led in scoring by Baldwin
with 10 points with Courtney Parker (
