Tufts Tennis Beats Smith 9-0

Medford, MA: The Smith Pioneers traveled to the Voute Courts at Tufts University to take on the nationally ranked Jumbos in a non-conference match-up yesterday afternoon and lost 9-0. With the loss, Smith Tennis falls to 0-3 overall (0-2 NEWMAC) while 17th ranked Tufts starts the year at 1-0.

Smith returns home this Saturday to host New England Women’s and Men’s Conference rival Babson College. Play begins at 1 pm at Smith’s outdoor courts.

1. Becky Bram/Lisa Miller (Tufts) defeated Cami Whitney/Francesca Albrezzi (Smith): 8-1

2. Jessica Knez/Mari Homma (Tufts) defeated Catherine Lydecker/Seiko Fujii (Smith): 8-1
