Smith Soccer Defeats Wesleyan in Non-Conference Action

Northampton, MA: The Smith Pioneers blanked Wesleyan College 3-1 in tonight’s first home match-up.  With victory over the Cardinals, the Pioneers improve to 2-2-1.  Wesleyan falls to 0-4.

Smith attacked first as Catherine Peo (Stow, MA) Brittoni Famous (Collegeville, PA) follwed Peo’s lead as she also scored an unassisted goal in the first half.  Smith goalkeeper Marlowe Dieckmann (Oakland, CA)

The Pioneers once again started the scoring rally in the second half as Monroe Peterson (New York, NY)Natalie Cohen (Acton, MA), as she was assisted by Samantha Blank (Chicago, IL).  

Smith will be back in action this Saturday as they open conference play with NEWMAC opponent Coast Guard.
