| October 22, 2005 For Immediate Release Contact: Carole Grills (413) 585-2703 Wellesley Defeats Smith Field Hockey 4-0 Wellesley, MA: Wellesley College shut-out the Pioneers 4-0 today in field hockey improving its overall record to 9-5 overall and 4-2 in the NEWMAC while Smith falls to 6-9 overall and 1-6 in Conference action. Lindsay Holiday (Wellesley, MA) scored the first two goals of the game at the 26:34 and 15:55 marks with both assists from Julia Hunter (Amherst, MA). Katie Sang (Cupertino, CA) tallied the third goal of the first half with 10:21 remaining on a cross from Karyn Benson (Hamilton, NJ). Wellesley made it 4-0 with 18:15 left in the game on a shot by Julia Parzych (Hamilton, NJ) with an assist from her sister Lydia.
