 Equestrians Finish Third at Mount Holyoke Show

 South Hadley, MA:  The Smith equestrians took third place with twenty-seven points behind host Mount Holyoke (43 points) and the University of Massachusetts (40 points) today at the Mount Holyoke College Show.

             Junior Emily Hertz (Brattleboro, VT) won a blue and red ribbon with Michaela LeBlanc (Cotuit, MA) winning the only other blue ribbon for Smith. Samantha Leland (Winter Park, FL), Katherine Obara (Portsmouth, RI), Martha MaloneyHuss (Wilmington, DE) and Kristyn Hall (Newtown, OH) all won red ribbons with Elyse Lasser (Brookfield, CT), Christine Stine (East Dover, VT) and Layne Chaya (Berwick, PA) finishing in third place.

             The Pioneers will compete in their last show of the fall semester on Saturday, November 12 at Amherst.
