Poughkeepsie, NY: The Pioneers finished second with 74 points at the 2005 Seven Sisters Championship held at Vassar College. Wellesley College won the title for the fourth consecutive year with a total score of 35 points. Smith’s Nora Youngs (Penacook, NH) won the race with a 19:34.4 finish, followed by Wellesley's Relana Ribbons (19:44.8), Haverford's Jane Weber (19:46.9), Wellesley's Tracy Bassett (19:58.5), Smith's Elizabeth Kelly (Stoors, CT) (20:02.5), Swarthmore's Emma Stanley (20:05.2), Mount Holyoke's Christine Klepacki (20:08.5), Wellesley's Rachel Blanchard (20:10.8), Wellesley's Katrina Utz (20:11.7) and Swarthmore's Carrie Ritter (20:13.2). Other top five finishers for Smith included Emma Coleman (Anchorage, AK) (20:25.3), Alison Cloutier (East Hampton, CT) (20:59.7), and Sari Field (Nutley, NJ) (21:21.7). The Pioneers are back in action on October 29 as they host the NEWMAC Championship. |
