Nora Youngs Competes in DIII National Championships

Delaware, OH: Freshman Nora Youngs (Penacook, NH) finished 92nd out of 213 runners at the NCAA Division III National Cross Country Championships. Youngs had an overall time of 23:53.8. She was the second NEWMAC participant to cross the finish line, coming in behind Springfield’s Meg Young (Hurley, NY), who won the NEWMAC Championship earlier this season.

SUNY Geneseo was the overall team champion. The Knights finished 13th in the 2004 campaign but were able to claim the title this season. This was their seventh straight national appearance.

Youngs has consistently been the Pioneers’ top runner this season, crossing the finish line first for Smith in all but one race. She won the Seven Sisters Championship and was also named to the NEWMAC All Conference Team.
