<title>Moshier Named Interim Softball Coach at Smith College</title>

<description>Director of Athletics, Lynn Oberbillig, announced today that <b>Victoria L. Moshier</b> has been appointed interim softball coach at Smith College. "<b>Tori's</b> experience as a pitcher and pitching coach along with her recruiting contacts in the Northeast allow her to "hit the ground running", stated Oberbillig.  <b>Moshier </b>will replace former head coach Julie Perrelli and will assume her duties on July 1.</description>

<title>Softball Drops Two To Wellesley</title>

<description>The Pioneers concluded their 2009 season falling to New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) rival Wellesley College, 5-9, 1-6, this afternoon in Northampton. With the victories, Wellesley improved to 19-12 overall and 12-3 in the NEWMAC while Smith finished 6-25 overall and 3-13 in the conference.</description>

<description>Sophomore <b>Lauren Martinez (Phoenix, AZ)</b> had a perfect day for the Pioneers going 5-for-5 at the plate but Smith dropped a NEWMAC doubleheader to Coast Guard, the number one team in New England Intercollegiate Softball Coaches Association (NEISCA) poll. With the losses, the Pioneers fell to 4-17 on the season and 1-7 in the conference while the Bears improved to 24-2 overall and 9-0 in NEWMAC action.</description>
