Meg Thacher

Meg Thacher received her bachelor's in physics from Carleton College in 1987 and her master's in astrophysics in 1991 from Iowa State University. In addition to her duties as a lab instructor for the astronomy department, Meg is the academic director for Smith's Summer Science and Engineering Program for high school girls. She has also taught introductory physics lab sections and an English course, Writing about Science. Meg has published several articles in kids' science magazines.

In her free time (a rarity!), Meg enjoys knitting, writing, spending time with her family and a capella singing.
