About The Artist
Emily Eveleth (American, born 1960) currently lives and works outside Boston, Massachusetts. She graduated from Smith College in 1983 and studied at the Massachusetts College of Art, Boston. Her work has been widely shown and is represented in the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, as well as in many private collections. Although best known for her large-scale paintings of jelly-filled doughnuts, Eveleth is also a figurative painter. The recipient of grants from the Art Matters Foundation and the New England Foundation for the Arts, Eveleth was a visiting artist at the American Academy in Rome in 2002.
