GoDutch! with Museums10GoDutch! is the first venture organized by Museums10, a new collective that brings together the Pioneer Valley’s five college and university art museums, along with Historic Deerfield, the Emily Dickinson Museum, the National Yiddish Book Center, the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art, and the Amherst College Natural History Museum.  This spring, each member organization will present an exhibition or program on the theme of Dutch art, such as the Eric Carle Museum’s Dutch Treats:  Contemporary Illustration from the NetherlandsMore information on the consortium and its programs can be found at museums10.org.

Henriette Kets de Vries, co-curator of The Golden Age: Dutch Prints and Drawings, presents the gallery talk "Virtues and Vices: The Art and Mystery of 17th Century Dutch Emblem Books." A curious amalgam of didactic texts accompanied by beautiful enigmatic images, 17th century Dutch Emblem Books remain a relatively obscure yet critical source for deciphering the iconography of Golden Age Dutch art.
