Renowned contemporary artist (American, born 1950) will present a talk about her installations, sculpture, community projects, and photography, as well as how her work is incorporated into a new opera based on Emily Dickinson's poetry (see July 10 for details).
Weinstein Auditorium, Wright Hall, Smith College. Open seating.

Hands-on art activity: Create a painting using the pointillism technique inspired by Woman with a Monkey (in the Museum's permanent collection) by the impressionist artist, Georges Seurat (French, 1859-1891).

6-6:30 PM Artist on Art: Join Angela Zammarelli to hear her perspective on a work of art in the Museum's permanent collection.
8 PM Immediately following Second Friday:
FREE showing of "Divide Light" a film of a new opera conceived and directed by Lesley Dill, composed by Richard Marriott, filmed by Ed Robbins, and based on the language of Emily Dickinson (NYC Film Premier: March 2009)
