2010 Real Lives of Women Artists Symposium

This symposium brought together women artists across generations for an honest examination of their work lives. The women spoke frankly about the challenges each faces creatively and on a practical, day-to-day basis. Dealers, writers, and curators joined in the discussion, offering their candid insights into the promotion and business of contemporary art.

The program concluded the Women of the Year series of exhibitions featuring women artists. The final exhibitions in the series were Touch Fire: Contemporary Japanese Ceramics by Women Artists and the audio installation What Every Gardener Knows by Susan Hiller, at the Botanic Garden.
