Museum Guidelines

Museum guests are asked to abide by guidelines. A few of the guidelines are included here to help you prepare for your visit.

Please check oversize items (larger than 8” x 15” x 18”). For example, we ask that you check baby carriers with metal supports, backpacks, large bags and umbrellas in the coat room.

Smoking, food or drink and pets are not allowed in the museum.

Photography and videotaping of the museum’s permanent collection are permitted for personal use. Tripods, additional lighting, and photography for professional and commercial use are not permitted unless a pass has been obtained from the information desk. Objects that may not be photographed and/or filmed are labeled.

Sketching is permitted. Adults may use graphite, colored pencils, cont? crayons and or non-loading pens. Children accompanied by adults may use pencils and colored pencils. Drawing boards up to 24” x 36” are permitted in the galleries. You may bring your own board or may borrow one from our information desk.
