Sam's Café

Museum visitors no longer have to walk all the way downtown to find a light and tasty meal to fortify them as the morning stretches into afternoon. Sam's Café is located in the Atrium, between the Museum and Hillyer Hall. Operated by Samantha Ross, the Café is open during Museum hours, Monday through Friday, and is available for on- or off-campus catering.

Muffins, bagels, and breakfast sandwiches are available starting at 9:00 a.m. For lunch, the Café offers sandwiches and wraps, salads, homemade soups, and other light fare, such as "Tea Hut & Garden" (mesclun greens, tofu, roasted red peppers, and hoisin sauce, with toasted sesame seeds), "Pioneer Steak" (grilled spiced steak, caramelized onion, grilled portabella, and a horseradish dressing), and "California Dreamin" (mesclun greens, brie, caramelized onions, and avocado with honey mustard dressing). The Café also serves a variety of fresh pastries, tea and coffee drinks, bottled waters, and specialty sodas all day.

Sam's Café uses fair trade coffees and locally grown ingredients wherever possible. For more information, visit www.samscafe.net.
