Contemporary art is pluralistic; it has no defining style or movement or medium. Artists draw inspiration from an endless variety of sources and often present it to us in non-traditional ways, such as mixed media sculptures, installations, video art. Contemporary art often questions our personal and cultural values. Through an examination of contemporary art we can discover what artists have to say about current issues such as feminism, multi-culturalism, the environment, and the Internet.
