"The rarity and historic significance of the objects place the Flagg Collection among the most important single donations of European decorative arts to a museum in the United States."
Laurie Winters, Associate Curator of Earlier Art, Milwaukee Art Museum

Clocks, tankards, flagons, belts, game boards, belts, and many other small, crafted, carved, gilded, or bejeweled treasures-- all are on view from December 11, 1998 through March 14, 1999 at the Smith College Museum of Art. More than eighty objects of diverse origin, medium, and social function offer insight into the culture, religion, and history of the Renaissance.
