| Teaching Facilities & Accessing Works from Storage

David Dempsey, Associate Director of Museum Services, discusses frame restoration with students
With only 3-5% of the museum’s 22,000-object
collection on view at any given time, access to the collection is
greatly increased by the museum’s special teaching facilities,
where works from storage can be displayed temporarily for class
use.
- The Winslow Teaching Gallery (lower level) – art works
from storage may be placed on temporary display for classes;
available during museum hours.
- Museum classrooms may be reserved for class discussions
and close examination of art works during class time. These classrooms
are equipped with slide and digital projection.
- The Cunningham Center for
the Study of Prints, Drawings and Photographs (second floor)
– facilities for classes and individuals to view works on
paper and their records.
