Volunteer as a Student Museum Educator

Trained Smith student volunteers learn about art and contribute to the community by giving museum tours for thousands of people each year from schools and adult groups. Click here for more information and to find out how to become a Student Museum Educator (SME).

Other Volunteer Opportunities

Students may volunteer for as little as once a year to several hours a week, helping with family programs, assisting artists with installations, greeting visitors and translating at bilingual events, being a liaison between students and the museum, and much more. If you are interested in volunteering in the Museum Education Department, click here for an online Volunteer form. To volunteer in other departments within the museum, email artmuseum@smith.edu to send an email inquiry.
