For K-12 Educators

SCMA’s programming for schools and teachers is targeted to providing students with meaningful experiential learning opportunities, and giving teachers support for their endeavors in the classroom.

K-12 visits to the Smith College Museum of Art are free and may be guided or self-guided. Tours are led by Smith College student museum educators and emphasize a combination of careful visual analysis, discussion and hands-on activities. Many resources—including materials, workshops and consultations—are available to help teachers prepare their classes for a tour or to guide a visit on their own. An audio guide may also be included during your visit. Bus subsidies are available to help defray the cost of transportation.
