Associates

SCMA associates are art enthusiasts who connect with the Museum in meaningful ways and provide upper-level support to the Museum.

Contemporary Associates

The Contemporary Associates (CAs) program was established in 2008, and CAs are already making their mark by supporting groundbreaking purchases of art. The Museum is grateful for CAs’ support, which helps keep the Museum at the forefront of the contemporary art world by collecting photography, video, and new media.

Tryon Associates

Named for Dwight Tryon, professor of art at Smith College from 1886 to 1923 and an important early benefactor of the Museum, Tryon Associates (TAs) are people deeply interested in the art world and committed to helping Smith provide a rich experience of the arts to its students.

TAs provide crucial Museum support by underwriting special exhibitions, publications, and educational, programmatic, and organizational activities. A deep sense of community has formed among the TAs, fostered on travels, which recently have included trips to San Francisco, Detroit and Toledo, Holland and Germany, Boston and Seattle.
