Free Public Lecture by Cynthea J. Bogel, Smith Class of 1980

  • Art Outside the Temple: Buddhist-inspired
    Artistic Production and Display

    Professor Bogel is Professor of Japanese Art History and Visual Culture at Kyushu University in Japan. In her lecture she will address questions that arise from the recent spate of exhibitions by artists who describe themselves as Buddhist, or draw inspiration from Buddhist expressions of spirituality.
