Northampton, MA – April 3, 2003 To mark the grand reopening of the Smith College Museum of Art, the Museum will display an extraordinary selection of drawings from its permanent collection. The exhibition, which opens on April 27, features selections from Master Drawings from the Smith College Museum of Art, which toured internationally to New York, Italy, and Spain in 2001 and 2002. The exhibition was organized by Ann H. Sievers, former Associate Curator of Prints, Drawings and Photographs at the Smith College Museum of Art, now director and curator of the Saint Joseph College Art Gallery in West Hartford, CT. This exhibition, which featured over eighty of the museum’s finest works on paper will be shown in the Museum in two parts: Part I will be on view from April 27 – June 22, 2003; and Part II will be on view in the fall (August 29 – October 19, 2003).
